”CNN'S great big story”

Ice climber Klemen Premrl has been to some of the most spectacular (and frigid) places on the globe. Recently, he and his climbing partner Tim Emmett scaled Helmcken Falls in British Columbia, eight hours north of Vancouver. To climb that stunning frozen waterfall, Premrl and Emmett maneuvered around dangerous overhangs and falling icicles the size of small cars in a bid to conquer one of the planet's most difficult ice climbing routes. Strap on your crampons and prepare for an ascent like no other.

Climbing Pericnik - the most beautful waterfal in Slovenia

Video about Ice Climbing on one of the most beautifull waterfalls in Slovenia - Pericnik. This project I've wanted to do since I discover my passion for photography. This year winter was finally cold enough that climbing here was again possible. this project is even more special to me, becouse it is made in my home country Slovenia! Klemen Premerl is one of the World best ice climbers and he was the only choice for that!

"Interstellar spice"

Tim Emmett and I had another amazing adventure at Helmcken Falls. I took us 7 days to get a team ascent of what could be the ultimate ice climb. Interstellar Spice is a 260ft journey though multiple ice roofs, hanging daggers, mushrooms, snow ice, water ice, ver glass and general outrageousness. It overhangs by 100-120ft! It starts up Clash of the Titans and breaks left following 28 bolts to the lower off just below the lip of the cave. We both think it's the hardest ice route we've done and sets a new level of difficulty for any route of this style.

This is an experience I'll remember forever!

Climbing ice - The Iceland Trifecta

Death-defying adventure, stunning landscapes, and rarely-documented feats of physical endurance and skill. Exploring the expansive glaciers in Iceland for fresh ice climbing lines involved ice caves, icebergs, and these deep holes and canyons along the surface of the glaciers called 'moulins'.

To Climb An Iceberg in 4K

Hop aboard La Louise as we venture through the arctic waters of Greenland's Disko Bay in search for the ultimate iceberg to summit with professional ice climbers Klemen Premrl and Aljaz Anderle. The icebergs are very fragile and unstable and to make it to the top the climbers must learn a valuable life lesson.

Behind the Adventure - Climbing Icebergs

GoPro Media Team members, Zak Shelhamer and Justin Whiting, give us a first-hand look at what it took to film for The Adventure in Live in 4K series. Join them as they share the thrills and challenges of filming icebergs in Greenland.

The Adventure of Life in 4K

All around the world GoPro users are capturing incredible experiences, from the heart-stopping to the heartfelt. Into the caldron of an active volcano, the neon streets of Japan, a refuge for wild mustangs, scaling an iceberg, the world’s biggest dance party, or a whale rescue mission, GoPros have documented every moment.

Wolverine WI 11

Climbing in Helmcken Fals, Wels Gray Provincial park, BC, Kanada is something unique. For years, ice climbers were in source for something different, something harder... and we found it here in Helmcken Falls. In 2012 Tim Emmett and I climbed Wolverine which is arguably  the hardest ice climb in the world, the first and only one with controversial grade WI 11.

Clash of the Titans WI 10

Tim Emmett has had his eye on the gigantic ice cave at Helmcken Falls for a while, but it isn't until he teams up with Klemen Premrl that the two decide to attack the amazing ice climb head on. After being hampered by a frozen bolt drill, they find a route like none other made up of whimsical, giant blobs of frozen water that have stuck to the hard rock. It's like climbing a dream, except the dream might come crashing down on you if you pull too hard. Watch as they make their way up this incredible, fantasy route. Don't be fooled though. It's steep, long, and dangerous!
